The R.L. Polk and Company has given this vehicle the award for the highest ownership loyalty in five consecutive years.
Auto enthusiasts loved the Ford Ranger truck upon its introduction and public debut in 1982. The Ford Motor Company introduced this pickup truck and the enthusiasts came flocking in. They were mostly after quality vehicles and the Ford Ranger was what they wanted. For years, the Ford Ranger has been crafted and sold with sporty and impressive looks that is just like the first Ford Ranger introduced more than a decade ago.
The present Ford Ranger holds design changes that include revised bumper colors, a horizontal grille insert, rugged fender flares, clear-lens parking lamps, new tail lamps, new fog lamps, a 9-inch Ford oval mounted on the grille and tailgate, and a Ranger windshield logo. It comes with a 2.3 liter engine with four cylinders. New color choices for this vehicle include screaming yellow clearcoat, torch red clearcoat, and redfire clearcoat metallic. Additional options for this vehicle include two 15-inch Alcoa forged aluminum wheels, body-color side moldings, as well as new packages. Its exterior motif holds equipment and features like an aggressive valance and power-dome hood structure as well as a nostril grille. These are very much consistent with the rest of the Ford truck lineup. The interior boasts of a sporty feel and functionality. This Ford truck for sale has seats with sculpted bolster and seatbacks for comfort and support. There also are optional sport bucket seats, leather-trimmed seating surfaces as well as a steel wheel trimmed and wrapped in leather.
Great changes and upgrades were considered to be milestones for the Ford Ranger. Those that made waves included the 1965 use of the Ranger name as a styling package for the F-Series pickup trucks. For 1981, the plans for this vehicle model were unveiled and presented in an auto show. The following year, the Ford Ranger came rolling off the assembly line and into the streets. A year after driving its way to the market, the Ford Ranger’s V6 makes it as Off-Road magazine’s 4×4 Truck of the Year. It was also named Ranger 4×4 of the year by the 4-Wheel and Off-Road magazine in the year 1986. It also was selected as Pickup of the Year by the Truckin’ magazine in 1993.

You can normally purchase previously owned trucks at any local truck dealer. They are also available in any classified ads and related sites that allow someone to find and purchase a truck on the web. Ordering a truck is already an important asset to most people. Whether if it is a brand new or previously owned truck, you still must pay up a neat amount in order to purchase the truck you really need.
Before ordering the truck, it is recommended to think about the kind of truck you want like pickup truck, dump truck, mack truck, tow truck etc. You should do some web research and visit many dealerships. In this manner, you are able to find the best price and have a great transaction.
There are many reasons why most previously owned trucks are not pricey. First, previously owned trucks easily break down. Every year, trucks like this come down 20 % of its initial price that makes it simpler for the driver to purchase a previously owned truck.
The second reason is that it is somewhat difficult to purchase a truck and pay the whole sum available. By using the services of a financial organization like a bank, a driver can pay their loan through monthly bits. Unfortunately, some customers failed to keep that obligation which gives the financial organization no option but to reposes the truck.
For the bank to end collecting the several trucks that they have repossessed and add up to their lost cash, these trucks are made available to the public as soon as possible which makes it easier for a few people to purchase like new trucks and avoid being taken advantage of by some truck dealerships.
It is also better if you research the past of the truck. This is mostly available online. All you need to do is type the truck identification number or VIN. This should help you confirm the repairs the truck has required, if the truck was stolen and know the former owner of the truck.
Usually, trucks have a service history. The orderer should ask for the seller to present it and if it is not available, inquire about the place where the majority of the work was done. In this way, you may know if the inexpensive previously owned truck you bought is still good to use.
Finally, you should inquire about the warranty. If there are things not included under it, it is nice to purchase a service plan to be secure. Inexpensive trucks specifically the previously owned trucks are merely a good option to those who can’t afford to purchase new ones.
If required, be careful in selecting a truck model and a dealer. Do your homework. Make some comparisons. You hopefully realize it is worth all your work when you purchase the greatest inexpensive previously owned truck in your town.
However, don’t just purchase trucks because it has a low price. Sometimes inexpensive trucks are recommended, but they can also be not safe especially if not inspected completely. So, if you have a dream to purchase for an inexpensive one, be sure to research its suitability.

As you look at the highway, you will be able to see a variety of vehicles. Some are small others are big. In every automobile that you see running on the road, the big ones like the trucks are very important. Despite the fact that some of their variety is expensive, people still buy them because they help a lot in doing business (especially in manufacturing). The major branded trucks available are Ford trucks, Freightliner trucks, Volvo trucks, Toyota trucks, GMC trucks, Ottawa trucks etc.
Trucks come in all sizes as well. However, they are usually bigger than the mainstream cars. Most of the trucks are used for transporting goods from one location to another. These vehicles are termed as heavy. Popular ones that we see are used for logging; others for moving furniture, some are even used for collecting trash. Other vehicles are commonly used for construction, such as cement mixers and they are used to transport materials for buildings.
However, these vehicles come with a special purpose. If we want to use them for as our daily mode of transportation, you can go for SUVs or pickup trucks. You can use these great vehicles for city driving. They are modifiable too. Most people add truck lift kits on them to make them bigger or to have a better suspension.
Sports Utility Vehicles may look like minivan and they may not have the looks of a pick-up, but they are perfect for your passengers as they can really be comfortable for traveling. They are spacious and sometimes they are even high-tech. Most of them are four-wheel drive and despite the disadvantages that they are pointing out to this type of feature, it is commonly equipped with safety features. Nowadays, emergency features and ABS (Anti-lock braking system) have been adapted. Some are just what they call part-time meaning they do not have to be engaged at all times in a four-wheel drive. However, most of them are comfortable if you plan to have long hours of driving.
Pick-ups are also light versions of this vehicle. The rear end is open, so either it can be used as an added space to accommodate more passengers or it can be used as your cargo area. As your passengers take a ride at the back of this vehicle, they will have the same feeling that they get when riding on a top down, convertible.
Some use this for off-road adventure. However to use them in this kind of leisure, certain modifications are needed. The most important accessory that should be added is truck lift kits for suspension. These are composed of springs and shocks to improve clearance of the vehicle as they go past the uneven surfaces of the road. If you plan to have this kind of adventure, then you should consider taking this modification.
These lighter versions can be used for transportation too. If you are running a small business, they can also be used to carry goods but not as much as cargo forwarders can carry. Nevertheless, they can really be a great help to your business and they can be perfect for your passengers too.

If you are planning to shift to a new place, be it across the state or to a new country, you obviously would want to take all the pieces of furniture and stuff you had collected, which you hold special to you, instead of selling them off and buying new ones. Well then what better way to do that than to rent a truck! You can decide on the size of the truck depending on how much stuff you have. There are different commercial trucks like pickups, dump trucks, boom trucks, semi trucks, crane trucks etc. There are also various branded commercial trucks like Ford commercial truck, Peterbilt commercial truck, Kenworth commercial truck, Ottawa commercial truck etc.
Make enquiries about truck rental companies:
Finding a good rental company may be difficult, as there are so many these days. Here are some points that one should keep in mind while renting a truck:
• See if the rental company has branches in the same city you are moving to. This way you will only have to pay for a one way move. Many companies do accommodate that, but they ask for upfront payment, so this way you end up paying the company for the return journey as well. You may not be aware of this, as you may assume that you are paying extra for the service charge incase they do not have a branch there. Make enquiries before you book.
• It is always advisable to book the truck well in advance once you have decided on the rental company. Sometimes you may not get the truck on the day you want, especially during the peak season. So always call in advance to reserve a truck for yourself, preferably a week or two in advance.
• Make enquiries about the rental charges in different rental companies to find out which price suits you best. Some companies may also charge more for new and well maintained trucks, than they do for old trucks. You have to decide based on that, which one you want. Some truck rentals may also offer special services as compared to other companies. Find out the distance to be traveled, as they may charge according to distance, and for every extra mile you travel, you may be charged extra.
• The size of the truck will be based on the number of rooms to be moved. Generally, a 26 foot truck will accommodate a 4–plus bedroom house, and a cargo van or trailer can be used for shifting small offices. It is always better to book a larger truck, this way you can be sure all the goods will fit in.
• The rental companies may also offer optional insurance plans such as cargo insurance, accident insurance, and loss and damage insurance. Find out about all the coverage from all different companies, and then decide which one you think is best for you. Make sure that you call your credit card companies before signing the agreement.
Rental trucks are convenient, and the good part is you do not even have to shell out a lot of money for your shifting. They are a cost effective way to move your stuff to your new place. It’s as simple as renting a car to move about the city - you just have to decide on the rental company, and rent their truck to transport your belongings. The rental cost all depends on the size of the truck and the distance to be traveled. Some of the rental companies even have major branches in all the different cities, thus saving you money by just paying for the one way truck rental.

Ford Motor Co. may seem struggling in some auto categories. But the Dearborn-based automaker is doing well in the manufacture of pickup trucks, its bread and butter vehicles. To hold onto its lead in the industry, the automaker seeks to unveil largest and most adaptable motor homes.
The Blue Oval does not sell recreational vehicles under its own name, but Ford is the leading manufacturer of motor home chassis in the United States.
The new chassis truck, made in Detroit, is all about weight. There are six models in the lineup. Based on reports, the biggest has a gross vehicle weight rating of 26,000 pounds.
For the biggest motor homes, the automaker is offering its 6.8-liter Triton V-10, which provides best-in-class performance producing 362 horsepower and 457 foot-pounds of torque. Aside from the superb hauling power, the automaker’s new chassis deliver improved ride and handling, quieter operation and wheels capable of turning up to 50 degrees in either direction.
When the Guthries first approached the automaker, the RV chassis were manufactured in Mexico. With help from the city and the United Auto Workers, who agreed to competitive contract terms, the brothers were able to put together a bid to produce the underbodies in Detroit for less than Ford was paying in Mexico, the report continued.
The commercial truck business is a 500-piece jigsaw puzzle. One of the very big pieces of that puzzle is the motor home industry.
The automaker does not divulge financial results for its motor home venture, but Castelli said Ford produces about 30,000 RV chassis of all classes each year, accounting for about 10 percent of its total commercial truck output. And it is consistently profitable.
The largest models borrow from the F-650 commercial trucks. Castelli said these titans will not only guarantee Ford stays in the lead, but should increase its share even more despite the escalating gasoline price.
As other automakers focus on the enhancement of other auto parts such as engines and shocks, Ford takes the risk of beefing up the chassis.

The pickup truck has long been a mainstay of American byways and highways, and GMC has been there from day one. Originally used and respected by farmers, construction workers and small-business owners, GMC’s hauler was a basic workhorse known for its reliability and longevity. More recent times have seen GMC’s full-size truck adopt the name Sierra, which was previously an upscale trim level.
As with its rivals, the modern-day GMC Sierra 1500 full-size pickup is available with a wide variety of body styles, powertrains and trim levels. Thanks to this flexibility, the half-ton Sierra pickup is just as adept at serving as the weekday family car as it is at transporting home-improvement supplies or towing a boat on the weekends.
Older versions of the GMC Sierra 1500 pickup have been praised for their strong work ethic, but soundly criticized for their bland, often overly plastic-endowed cabins. With the current model, fit and finish has improved to the point where the Sierra now stands proud in that area. Of course, there are other choices in the full-size pickup truck market, but the half-ton GMC Sierra remains a solid pick no matter what the intended use.
The current GMC Sierra 1500 truck for sale, is much improved over the past version in terms of cabin materials and build quality. Where there was once an abundance of lackluster design, hard plastic and uneven panel gaps, there’s now richly grained upholstery, softer materials and precise fitments. The lineup offers three body styles (regular, extended and crew cabs) and trim levels ranging from no-frills “Work Truck” to ultra-plush Denali. The most popular trim is the midlevel SLE, which provides most features people want as standard, including air-conditioning, full power accessories and a CD player. A recent addition to the lineup is the rugged “All Terrain,” which is essentially a fancier version of the Z-71 Off-Road package.
Past GMC Sierra 1500 models :
Most of these pickup trucks considered by used-vehicle shoppers will be the previous-generation truck, which was sold for the 1999-2006 model years. Underneath the handsome styling, a family of new V8s debuted, ranging in size from 4.8 to 6.0 liters. They offered output ranging from 255 hp with the smallest 4.8-liter, to 345 hp from the high-output 6.0-liter V8 in the Sierra Denali. A base V6 was also available, but as expected, most Sierras came fitted with one of the V8s. A unique four-wheel-steering option (called QuadraSteer), came on-line about midway through this generation and cut the truck’s turning circle down to 37.4 feet — around 10 feet less than a typical full-size pickup. Unfortunately, QuadraSteer was discontinued for 2006, as buyers were put off by the high cost of this option.
Consumers more interested in function than flash should be happy with a half-ton Sierra from this era. The truck offered plenty of performance and work capacity, but was hampered by a dated cabin design fraught with cheap materials and below-average fit and finish.
The previous generation of GMC Sierra 1500 pickups ran from 1988-’98. Standard cab and extended cab body styles were offered, as was a crew cab, though the latter was actually from the previous 1981-’87 generation. Although six-cylinder and diesel V8s were offered, chances are strong that most GMC trucks from these years will have either a 5.0- or 5.7-liter V8 mated to a four-speed automatic. In keeping with tradition, one could choose either rear-wheel drive (indicated by a “C”, e.g. “C1500″) or four-wheel drive (indicated by a “K”). Trim levels for these C/K1500 trucks include the bare-bones Special, base SL, midlevel SLE and top-line SLT. Strengths of these new and used trucks include powerful, durable powertrains while weaknesses center on sketchy build quality and subpar materials within the cabin.

Every year hundreds of children and adults are injured and some are killed as a result of vehicles backing over these victims. Most back up accidents involve children under the age of 5 and elderly persons over 60 years of age. These backing up deaths occur in SUVs, passenger cars, new and used trucks and commercial trucks as well.
In 2003 there were 91 deaths associated with people backing over people (although only 44 were from cars, SUV’s or pickup trucks). We’ve spent millions of dollars developing back-up alarms and back-up cameras – some cars even come equipped with them.
But, in that same year, 143 people died as a result of a rear end accident to a passenger car or truck. So why don’t we make stronger rear bumpers or relocate the gas tank to protect the 143 people that die from fires resulting from a rear end accident?
Fires occur in approximately 2.4 percent of all fatal crashes. The National Highway Transportation Safety Administration estimates approximately 310 deaths per year are caused by post-collision vehicle fires. The largest cause of these fire-related fatalities, are rear impacts.
Although fires are rare, they are not as rare as accidentally backing over someone. If you just take the statistics from 2003, and you consider only passenger cars, SUV’s or light duty trucks, you are over 3 times more likely to burn to death in a rear-end collision than you are to kill someone by backing over them!
When you consider just pickup trucks, you are over 2 times more likely to burn to death in a rear end collision than you are to back over someone driving a pickup truck. And it’s a gruesome death. Usually the frame of the vehicle gets crushed to the point where the doors jam shut. And, because it’s almost impossible to punch your way through the safety glass, you end up trapped.
77% Of Fuel System Ruptures Were The Result Of Rear End Collision Damage. Why? Because The Fuel Tank On Most Vehicles Is In The Rear! And, rear-end impacts are three times as likely to result in fatal fire crashes. Although today’s gas tanks have protective bladders, the tank sometimes ends up separating from the filler hose and the gas starts leaking.
There are only two ways the problem can be fixed? Relocating the gas tank and/or shielding it from rupture or puncture. These are the two single and most practical solutions to fuel fed fires.
